Birth Support in Exeter

These are 2 hours of time we get together, spending time to talk through concerns you and your partner may have, learning about the Physiologoy of Birth, your options and you'll have my knowledge of Holilstic methods for pain relief and managemnet for Pregnanacy, Labour and Postpartum. 

We spend alot of time during our pregnancy concentrating on the process and preferences for Birth and often neglect the time for reflecting our needs for after the Baby is with you. 

This is a session where we will explore what life might be like for you and your new family and to navigate the balances of having a new member of the famliy. 

As your consistent support, I will be on call and ready 2 weeks either side of the imminent arrival of your baby. This means that during these weeks I will have adapated my personal situations; ie childcare etc to be made flexible so that your Birth is Prioitised. 

During these weeks I also take things alot slower by nuturing and nourishing myself so that I am fully prepared...in my Mind, body and spirit. 

I'll be alongside you/and your Birth Partner providing Emotional and Physical support during the entirety of your Labour. From the time you call which many mean that I'm with you at your home and if your transfering into Hospital I can either be with you to transfer or meet you there. 

This is all of course explored together in your Birth prefernces. 

I also aim to protect that all important Golden Hour for you and your new Family to bond, providing Breast feeding advice if you wish. 

I am fully Trained in the use of Rebozo during Labour, should you wish to use this it can be a great tool to use avoiding the use of Medical Interventions. 

After the arrival of your sweet Baby and when you are setlled in your own home environment, I would come on your preferred day in that first week. As a Breast Feeding Peer supoorter most Mothers have found it useful to have me over on day 2 or 3 for Breast feeding help and talking through your Birth experience. 

During this first week I am a gentle presence encourgaing, nourishing and empathising.  

I am a Trained Breast Feeding supporter so I use the knowledge from this and the experience of my own Breast feeding years guiding you to use your  intuition and comfort levels during this new learning journey building your confidence as you go.
